Safety in our workplace is of primary importance. Bow Mark is committed to the health and safety of all
employees, contractors, customers, and the public while protecting our environment. Our health, safety
and environmental program undergoes both internal and external auditing. Bow Mark has been an active
member of the Alberta Construction Safety Association and the Certificate of Recognition program and
Alberta Workers Compensation Board since its inception. Bow Mark participates in the Partners for Industry
Reduction Program with the Government of Alberta and Alberta WCB.
Bow Mark strives to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all workers. Our company is committed
to training workers on all hazards in the workplace and it’s an integral part of our training program. Training
allows workers to perform job tasks to the best of their abilities, committing to setting a zero injury as our safety
expectation. Bow Mark has developed and implemented safety rules and regulations for ensuring an optimal
safety program and is continually updating and maintaining it on an ongoing basis. We provide a respectful
workplace environment as well as endorsing a drug and alcohol-free environment. Bow Mark also provides a
preventative maintenance program for all equipment to reduce equipment failures and their potential for
accidents.
Bow Mark is a Prequalified Prime Contractor for Construction Projects with the City of Calgary. This status is
evaluated on four elements of compliance.
- Commercial (e.g., WCB, Safety Certification, Bonding, etc.)
- Safety
- Environmental
- Technical – requirements will include previous experience working as a Prime Contractor, references past experience within the applicable scope of work.
